Achieve Dental Stability and Confidence with Dental Implants

What Are Dental Implants?

Losing teeth can significantly impact your ability to bite and chew comfortably, limiting the variety of foods you enjoy. Each missing or damaged tooth can also strain adjacent teeth, potentially leading to further dental issues and tooth loss. Fortunately, advancements in dental restoration now offer effective solutions through dental implants. Dental implants are highly regarded as the optimal choice for tooth replacement because they closely replicate the look and feel of natural teeth.

A surgically placed post integrates into the jawbone, serving as a sturdy foundation similar to a natural tooth root. An abutment attaches to the post, providing a customized connection where the final restoration, often a crown or bridge, is securely affixed. This comprehensive approach ensures functionality, durability, longevity, and a natural appearance, making dental implants a superior solution for restoring both function and aesthetics after tooth loss.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

Our Top Services

Single Dental Implants

A single dental implant can replace one missing tooth or individual missing teeth in separate mouth areas. Because each crown looks and feels like a natural tooth, your restorations will blend seamlessly into the rest of your smile.

Single dental implants prevent further damage to the rest of your natural teeth by stabilizing your bite, making them a wise investment to help you avoid additional expensive treatments.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges consist of several false teeth fused into a single restoration to replace multiple teeth in one area. Because we can replace many teeth with fewer implant posts, bridges are a great approach to make dental implants more affordable and minimize the surgical phase of your treatment.

Implant-Supported Dentures

If you’re tired of struggling with traditional dentures that slip, shift, or rub and leave uncomfortable sores, implant-supported dentures might be a great solution. With just a few implant posts, we can create stable points of connection where a modified denture can snap into place.

Implant-supported dentures have superior stability and chewing power compared to traditional dentures.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

Full mouth dental implants are the gold standard solution to complete tooth loss. A full arch dental bridge will be securely and permanently anchored onto a few strategically placed implant posts, making this the closest thing to having a full set of your own healthy teeth again!

Because they are permanently fixed, full mouth dental implants are made from stronger, denser, more durable materials that look and feel more like natural tooth enamel. You’ll be able to eat any food without limitations and smile confidently for decades.

Am I A Candidate for Implants?

What to Expect from the Dental Implant Procedure

Dental implants offer a versatile solution to tooth loss that can be customized to meet your specific needs and smile goals. The first step in creating your personalized dental implant treatment plan is a consultation, where we will discuss your concerns and aspirations for how dental implants can enhance your quality of life.

We will review your dental concerns, smile goals, and medical history during this consultation. If you’re a good candidate for dental implants, we’ll gather detailed measurements and digital diagnostic images to form the foundation of your new smile design. We will customize every detail of your smile, from the shape and color of each tooth to how your new teeth complement your facial structure, gum line, and lip line.

As with every Hardy Family Dentistry procedure, you’ll rest comfortably with safe and effective dental sedation. We can place grafting material and implant posts during the same appointment if you need tooth extractions.

In other cases, we’ll make a small incision in the gums to access the underlying bone and place your implants into predetermined spots within your jawbone. Once the implants are placed, we will attach an abutment connector and affix your temporary restoration. This temporary restoration lets you enjoy the benefits of your new smile immediately, ensuring you never go without teeth.

Over the next several months, your dental implant posts will fuse with the surrounding bone tissue during osseointegration. Most of your healing process will be very comfortable, and most patients report tolerable discomfort for the first few days.

Once your mouth has healed, you’ll return to our office for updated scans and to have your final restorations placed. These final restorations are hand-crafted from the highest-quality material and built to last. With proper at-home care and regular checkups, your dental implants have the potential to last an entire lifetime!
